wee wednesday (on a friday) with lindsay of darling clementine: Mama style

I strive to be a stylish Mama, one who doesn't completely give up to sweats, "comfy" shoes and my hair pulled back all the time. But being a Mama means sometimes having to forget yourself in order to get everyone out the door in the morning. I've recently started putting in a bit more effort, maybe it's because the sun has been shinning and the weather is a bit warmer, either way here's some inspiration for chic Mama style, baby bump, toting a toddler or just out for lunch with you girlfriends. Pssst... they'd make great Mother's Day gifts too, just sayin'

1. Pinafore Apron with Pockets

3. A jumpsuit by Alexander Wang, to be the cool Mama at the playground (who can bend over and not show too much)
5. My favorites year after year, I could walk for days in these Worishofers
6. Baggu leather pouch, to keep loose change in for the Ice Cream truck
7. Big enough to hold everything a Mama needs, cool enough to be used even when the kids aren't around
8. Style Icon: Jane Birken pulls off effortlessly chic Mama style
Xx see you next week! Lindsay

wee wednesday on a thursday with jennifer: saltwater sandals

Even though it may still be cold where you live, it’s always ok to dream about warm weather and beaches.   Cute for boys and girls, Salt Water sandals for little feet are one of my favorites.  The hard part is choosing between all the fun colors!

Hope there is sunshine in your future…

wee wednesday with lindsay of darling clementine: Childhood Captured | Slow Down Little One

Slow down, get on the floor with your kids to play, let them get messy, play hooky and take them to the park all day long, let dinner run late, the bath be more for play than for getting clean. Enjoy your little ones childhood. These photos helped me realize how quickly time passes and how important it is to be in the moment, putting the phone down, focusing on what's most important.

*all photos grabbed from my Childhood board on Pinterest, where I go often to be inspired.

wee wednesday with lindsay of darling clementine: Little Toys | Wood Blocks

What's more classic than wood blocks. Take it from me, they're good at all ages, perfect for little hands to learn to grip, then to stack, then to create. I've heard over and over how wonderful they are for little ones, in fact I was told that when you tour schools for pre-school/Kindergarten age kids, always look for blocks in the room, that it says a lot about the education philosophy of the school.

Parents love them because they aren't battery operated and don't break. They're fun, and they last forever. Here are some favorites for your littles, mostly found via Pinterest (what would I do without you sweet Pinterest)

*Oh and they look pretty stored in open baskets rather than hidden away in drawers, at least in my opinion.

1. reclaimed wood blocks found on Etsy

2. 1001 Nights Wood Blocks

3. big outdoor blocks (a DIY). Ok, so I live in Brooklyn, and it's doubtful I'll be doing this project, but hey a girl can dream right?

4. I love the colors in these blocks, so sweet. Found on etsy

5. Totally awesome, for parents & kids to play with by Miller Goodman

6. Wood legos. I mean... wow.

7. Nature scene blocks found on Land of Nod

Xx see you next week!

wee wednesday on a thursday with jennifer: beachwear from Flora and Henri

Mrs. French has me dreaming of the beach from seeing that adorable video of B on the coast.

I'm a lover of classic blue and red for timeless beach wear.  Here are some of my favorites from Flora and Henri!  I want to buy them all.
